2018 Stage Crew

I joined the stage crew program at Rosedale Heights School of the Arts. I learned a variety of skills ranging from technical maintenance to production management. While working on my own films and projects using Audio Visual Tools.

2022 Web Designer & A/V Technician, TMU Acceptance letter

I joined the Toronto Latvian Pensioners association (TLPA) and the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre (LCCC) as a A/V technician. Managing teams, events, and discussing client needs. Additionally, I am working for TLPA as a web designer and MailChimp Manager.

Simultaneously, I was accepted into the Media Production program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). This is where things kicked off!

2023 – Unreal Engine, Virtual Production, Teaching Assistant

A slew of things happened this year! I started experimenting with Unreal Engine 5 as it pertained to my interest in game design and virtual production film making.

Additionally, Robert Della Rossa started teaching the CS-PRO workshop series “Unreal Engine for Beginners” and I decided to be a teaching assistant for the class. Not only utilizing my skills to teach, but to learn from others.

Since the success of the workshop series, Robert and I decided to experiment with Unreal Engines Virtual Production tools. Utilizing the tools and space at the Design + Technology Lab, we were able to setup our very own Virtual Production studio using tracked cameras and motion capture suits and make a exhibition at TMU for industry professionals.

2024 – Sony Alpha Event, P-Tech Technician, Computer building

I worked for the Sony Alpha Event as a A/V technician! This was an incredible experience as I got to use the skills I have developed over countless events at the LCCC and TLPA to serve my peers at the event.

Additionally, I was recognized by a member of faculty at TMU and was recommended for a P-Tech technician role at TMU. Allowing me to use the skills I had learned at TMU, LCCC, TLPA, and Rosedale, to service all machines in the Creative School. For this role, I transformed TMU’s system of recording and repairment of machines to better suit the companies needs. This system is still being used today and is a monument in my career as it changed how TMU operates in the Technical space.

With my vast knowledge of machines, I took up freelance work this year to build and repair computers to a variety of people.

During this time, I was asked to film a wedding video for a previous client.

2025 – Producer, Virtual Production, Profusion, Video Game Design

While still working at the LCCC, TLPA, TMU, and doing freelance work. TMU had recently developed its Arthur Smith virtual production Studio and I was committed to ensuring that during this year, I would produce a show in the space.

After diligent work, I managed to produce TMU’s first ever student led virtual production show “Hole in the wall”. Another monument in my career as it proved to faculty and students that a virtual production show is not only feasible in the student space, but can be done efficiently and professionally.

After the success of Hole In the wall, I committed to working on other student led virtual production shows at TMU.

Following the success I had at the Sony Alpha Event, I was offered to work at the Profusion event.

In the middle of the year, I decided to develop a video game called BOING using Unreal Engine 5. After completing the demo of the game, I posted a itch.io site for it. To which still stands to be a great monument in my coding experience in Unreal Engine 5.

During the end of the year, Robert and I decided to pitch a cultural preservation project called Scanning the Globe to a grant sponsor called Society of the Creative School.

(Present) 2026 – Scanning the Globe & TSN

I am very excited to announce that I am now working at The Sport Network (TSN) as a virtual production technician. This was the result of all of the work I have been doing for the past few years and has culminated to this job. Combining the skills I have learned in Audio Visuals, Multi Camera production, Film, Unreal Engine 5, VFX, and much more… I believe that this role best suits my passion for innovation in a new and exciting field.

Additionally, After receiving a grant for the Society of the Creative School, Scanning the Globe partnered with companies such as Sony, The Design + Technology Lab, and Britannia Mine Museum to produce three deliverables I cant really tell you about yet:)

The most Ill say is that we are preserving cultural artifacts by means of digital twinning. It is by far the biggest project I have taken on as a Producer and I am looking forward to showing you the project.
